# A Workspace Per Client

How to set up a new workspace end to end: name it, stock it from a blueprint or the account library, set its brand, add its sending domain and seat the client.

## One workspace per site

A workspace holds one site's contacts, lists, forms, templates, automations, campaigns and sending
domain. One login and one plan cover every workspace on your account, and you switch between them
from the button at the top of the left-hand menu. Nothing is shared between workspaces unless you
copy it across, so a client only ever sees their own.

## Setting one up

**New workspace** in the workspace switcher opens the five-step set-up. Only account
admins see it, and it tells you up front how many workspaces your plan allows and how many you have
used.

1. **Name** — name it after the site. The workspace is created straight away and you land in it.
2. **Start from** — an empty workspace, one of your blueprints, or items from the account library.
3. **Brand** — copy the brand kit from another workspace you administer, or set the name, two colours and a logo now.
4. **Sending domain** — add the domain their email will come from; the records to add are shown, and some DNS providers can add them for you.
5. **People** — invite the client and anyone else who works on the site, each with a role.

## What each step does

Every step is the same action as the page that does that job on its own, so nothing behaves
differently for having been done here. A blueprint or library item arrives as a copy: lists, tags
and fields are matched by name in the new workspace, a copied form arrives inactive, and a copied
automation arrives paused so you can look before it runs. The brand kit is what campaigns, hosted
forms and notification emails take their colours, fonts and logo from.

**Roles.** A member can do the work but not change the workspace. A reviewer sees
everything and can approve campaigns or ask for changes, and changes nothing else — the seat to
give a client who wants the final say. An admin can do everything, including inviting others.

## Leaving and coming back

The workspace exists from the moment you finish the first step, so you can stop at any point and
it is still a working workspace. Pick the rest up whenever you like: the brand from the Brand page,
the domain from Settings → Sending, the people from Settings → Team. The Quick Start card on
the dashboard shows what is still outstanding.

## Seats and plans

Workspaces and seats are counted across the whole account, not per workspace: your plan sets how many
workspaces you may have and how many people may hold a seat across them, and a pending invitation
counts as a seat. If you are at the limit, the step that would go over says so instead of failing
silently. See [Billing & plans](https://sendbeam.io/docs/admin/billing) for the numbers and
[Team management](https://sendbeam.io/docs/admin/team) for changing somebody's role later.
