# Send email campaigns from your phone

Send email campaigns from your phone: write with AI or from a design, edit blocks, choose the audience, test, then schedule or send with undo.

You can write a whole email on your phone, from the first line to the send, or pick up a draft you
started on the web. Everything is the same campaign on both: the web's
[Campaigns](https://sendbeam.io/docs/campaigns) docs apply here too.

## The Campaigns tab

- Switch between **All**, **Scheduled**, **Drafts** and **Sent**, or search by name or subject.
- Each email shows its status (Draft, Scheduled, Sending, Sent, Cancelled or Needs approval) and, once sent, how many it went to and how many opened it.
- Touch and hold an email for **Send Test to Me**, **Edit Email**, **Duplicate**, **Schedule** or **Reschedule**, **Cancel Schedule** and **Open on the Web**.

## Start a new email

Tap **New email** on the Campaigns tab, or **New Email** on Home, then choose how to start:

- **Write with AI** — say in a few words what the email is about, such as *This month's news*, and SendBeam writes a draft in your brand.
- **Start from a Design** — ready-made layouts in your brand. Tap one to preview it, then **Use This Design**.
- **Blank** — start from nothing.
- **Your templates** — any template saved in the workspace.

Writing with AI needs to be switched on for the workspace.

## Edit the email

The editor shows the email as a list of blocks. Tap a block to change it, or **Add Block** to
add one: Heading, Text, Image, Button, List, Quote, Divider, Space, Social links and Footer. Your logo comes
from [Brand](https://sendbeam.io/docs/mobile/getting-set-up#your-brand).

- In text, add a link or change the colour, and insert a contact's first name, last name or email so each person sees their own.
- Give an image a description for people who can't see it.
- Use a block's menu to move it up or down, duplicate or delete it, or **Reorder Blocks** to move several.
- Set the **Subject** — what the inbox shows. **Subject ideas** reads your email and suggests a few: any, short, with their name or with an emoji.
- The **Name** is for your team only; subscribers never see it.
- **Preview** shows the email as a contact will see it.

The draft saves as you go, and if the app closes before it saves, your changes are back next time you
open it. A footer with the unsubscribe link and your postal address is required; the app reminds you if
it's missing, along with empty blocks and buttons without a link.

> Blocks made on the web that the phone can't edit, such as columns, polls, video or latest posts, show in
> the list and keep working; change them on the web. An email written in HTML can't be edited in the app,
> but you can change its subject, preview it and send it. Only a draft can be edited; to change a sent or
> scheduled email, duplicate it.

## Choose who gets it

Tap **Next: who gets it** and choose the audience:

- **Everyone subscribed**.
- One of your **lists**.
- One of your **segments**. Segments update as people change.

Under **More options → Leave out**, tick lists, segments or tags whose people shouldn't get
this email, even if they're in the audience.

## Review and test

The **Review** screen checks the email before it goes:

- It checks the subject, the footer and that every link opens, and says what to fix.
- **Check the Wording** reads the email and suggests improvements.
- It shows how many people will get it and who it's from. On the Free plan, emails end with a small *Sent with SendBeam* line.
- **Send a Test to Me** sends a copy to your own address.

## Test two subjects

Under **More options → Test two subjects**, write a second subject line. Part of the audience
gets the test, half with each subject; after the wait, the subject with more opens or clicks goes to
everyone else. A tie goes to subject A.

- **Who gets the test** — 10, 20, 30 or 50% of the audience (20% to start with).
- **Then wait** — 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours or 1 day (2 hours to start with).
- **The winner has more** — opens or clicks.

See [Subject line test](https://sendbeam.io/docs/campaigns/creating#subject-line-test) for how a test runs, and [its results](https://sendbeam.io/docs/campaigns/stats#subject-line-test-results).

## Schedule or send now

Tap **Send…** on the Review screen, or **Schedule** on the campaign:

- **Schedule** — pick *In one hour*, *Tomorrow at 9:00*, *Next Monday at 9:00* or **Custom…**. Times are in your phone's time zone and must be at least 10
  minutes ahead.
- **Send Now** — the app shows the subject, the sender and how many people will get it, then
asks you to **press and hold** the button for a moment, so a stray tap never sends.

A send from the phone starts 60 seconds later. Until then the campaign shows a countdown and
**Undo**: a scheduled email goes back to its time, and a draft stops, with a draft copy ready
to carry on. Placeholder addresses in the audience are left out.

To stop an email that's already sending, open it and tap **Stop Sending**. It can't be
resumed.

## Approval

In a workspace where a reviewer has to approve campaigns before they go:

- When you send or schedule, the app offers **Request Approval**. The campaign shows *Waiting for a reviewer's approval* until it's approved.
- A reviewer gets a notification and sees the campaign under **Needs you** on the Activity
tab. Open it, check the preview, then tap **Approve** or **Request Changes**.
- Once it's approved, the sender sends or schedules it as usual.

See [Approval before sending](https://sendbeam.io/docs/campaigns/sending#approval-before-sending) for how it is set up.

## After it sends

Open a sent email to see how many it was sent and delivered to, and how many opened, clicked, bounced
and unsubscribed. If you sell online and SendBeam tracks orders, it also shows the orders and revenue that
followed the email. For the full report, use **Open in SendBeam**, or see
[Campaign stats](https://sendbeam.io/docs/campaigns/stats).

## Templates

A template is an email you start others from: your layout, logo and footer, ready each time. Open
**Templates** from **Your tools** on Home.

- **Create a Template** starts one the same ways as a new email, and it's edited with the same editor.
- **Use in a New Email** starts an email from a template.
- In the editor, **Save as Template** keeps the email you're writing as a template too.
